Various Mac Settings
Mouse Settings
- Click on System Preferences
- Click on Mouse.
- Adjust the tracking speed to your preference.
- Uncheck “Scroll direction: Natural”.
When checked, moving the cursor up will scroll the screen up, similar to a smartphone.
Enable Clicking with Tap
- Click on System Preferences.
- Click on Trackpad.
- Click on “Point & Click”.
- Check “Tap to click”.
β» Check “Secondary click” to enable right-clicking with two fingers.
Enable Three Finger Drag
- Click on System Preferences.
- Click on Accessibility.
- Click on Pointer Control.
- Click on Trackpad Options.
- Check “Enable dragging” and select “Three finger drag”.
Change Shortcut Key for Input Switching
- Click on System Preferences.
- Click on Keyboard.
- Click on Shortcuts.
- Click on “Input Sources”.
- In the right window, check “Select the previous input source” and click on the key combination.
- Press “β + Space” while itβs highlighted.
Change “Spotlight Search” to a different key combination by clicking on “Spotlight” and changing it to “Shift + β + F”.
Change Screen Size
- Click on System Preferences.
- Click on Display.
- Check “Scaled” and select “More Space”.
Display Dock Only When Needed
- Click on System Preferences.
- Click on Dock & Menu Bar.
- Check “Automatically hide and show the Dock”.
