Various Mac Settings

Mouse Settings

  1. Click on System Preferences
  2. Click on Mouse.
  3. Adjust the tracking speed to your preference.
  4. Uncheck “Scroll direction: Natural”.

When checked, moving the cursor up will scroll the screen up, similar to a smartphone.

Enable Clicking with Tap

  1. Click on System Preferences.
  2. Click on Trackpad.
  3. Click on “Point & Click”.
  4. Check “Tap to click”.

※ Check “Secondary click” to enable right-clicking with two fingers.

Enable Three Finger Drag

  1. Click on System Preferences.
  2. Click on Accessibility.
  3. Click on Pointer Control.
  4. Click on Trackpad Options.
  5. Check “Enable dragging” and select “Three finger drag”.

Change Shortcut Key for Input Switching

  1. Click on System Preferences.
  2. Click on Keyboard.
  3. Click on Shortcuts.
  4. Click on “Input Sources”.
  5. In the right window, check “Select the previous input source” and click on the key combination.
  6. Press “⌘ + Space” while it’s highlighted.

Change “Spotlight Search” to a different key combination by clicking on “Spotlight” and changing it to “Shift + ⌘ + F”.

Change Screen Size

  1. Click on System Preferences.
  2. Click on Display.
  3. Check “Scaled” and select “More Space”.

Display Dock Only When Needed

  1. Click on System Preferences.
  2. Click on Dock & Menu Bar.
  3. Check “Automatically hide and show the Dock”.
